Derby della Madonnina Poll

In Milan, there is an iconic and historic cathedral called Il Duomo. Atop the tallest spire stands the Lady Madonna, looking out over the city, offering her protection. From this icon of the city, the Milan derby gets its name, Il Derby della Madonnina or the “Derby of the Madonna.”

It seems strange that such a beautiful Lady should be presiding over a game that is “the mother of them all.” This time, with only 2 points separating the two teams and the Scudetto on the line, it is likely not going to be any kind of match fit for a Lady.

Add to the mix a coach who crossed the line, an iconic player who has played for both teams suspended, plus other key players out with injury or suspension on both sides, and this one is truly going to be one for the ages.

So, as we prepare this week for this less than holy battle, we want to know what you think: given all of the drama, the potential lineups, the form, the style of play and the coaches, what do you REALLY think the outcome of this match is going to be?

Please take a moment to answer the poll, then leave your comments below. What will the score be? How many red cards? How many yellow cards? Injuries? Which coach will prevail? Who will score? Please answer any or all of these and offer other comments, too!

Our preview post will be up later this week, but first we want to know what you think!!
