Last night, there was a gala event in Milano to celebrate 10
years of the Fondazione Milan, the charity arm of Milan, reaching out to those
in need worldwide. To celebrate, the entire first team and many others got dressed
up for the event to raise even more money for a great cause. In fact, over
€250.000 was raised, with half of that going to help the relief efforts in
Sardinia after Cyclone Cleopatra and accompanying flooding hit this week.

Looking good for a good cause: Rami, Niang, Amelia, and Urby |
For ten years now, the
Fondazione Milan has
been promoting Responsibility and Sustainability by supporting over100
different charity projects worldwide. A few of the many projects they have
supported include the Stefano Borgonovo foundation and ALS; FA.T.A (Famiglie
Temporanea Accoglienza - Temporary Family Accomodation) providing shelter and
more for children and adolescents who have been victims of domestic violence,
etc.; providing equipment for local hospitals, shelter and more for the
homeless in Milano; and Sport for All, providing swimming lessons for children
with disabilities. And those are just a few. The Fondazione Milan is always
seeking to help those in need of shelter, medical assistance, education, and
more.

Eleonora Berlusconi, recently joining the Milan Foundation, sporting Dolce & Gabbana, of course |
The Milan Glorie team is playing a special match in Iran
next week, with proceeds going to Fondazione Milan. They will play FC
Persepolis Glories in Tehran on November 28th. In addition to the great cause,
it will mark the first football match in Iran that women will be able to
attend. There is also a
bracelet
on sale now via the Milan Stores and the e-Store. Your €25 gets you a bracelet,
but all of the proceeds go directly to the Milan Foundation.

Somehow, I don't think Baresi is talking Milan Glorie or bracelets with Balotelli |
While there are tons of pictures of the fabulous event, I
thought I’d gather a few here today so you can see how well your favorite
players and their WAGs clean up.

Allegri shows why he doesn't need any more trophies |

No yellow tie? Only for charity, I guess |

Maybe if the footballing doesn't work out, they'll have a career in modeling |
My favorite story from the evening was when Pazzini bid
€10.000 for the chance to train with the first team. Despite being injured for
so long, he’s not lost his sense of humor.

Pazzini with his wife... apparently he'll do anything to get back on the pitch |
