Milan 1, Fiorentina 3: Indescribable

Milan’s performance seemed to leave even Maldini and Giampaolo searching for words to describe it. Not at all comforting to the fans, who in recent Milan form, have completely abused, attacked, and or abandoned the club they claim to love. Milan’s performance was terrible, but the behavior of the fans is so very much worse. Especially you, Curva. It’s simply indescribable.

People who watch even most of the games and just spout obscenities about their players on Twitter tell me they are justified in acting this way. NO. I have watched every single Milan game, including friendlies, and written previews and reviews of every single match for eight and a half years. I have recorded and edited podcasts, spent countless hours of my life on analyzing and talking about Milan. I have done it all, religiously, through whatever life threw at me. If anyone “deserves” to abuse their team, it’s me.

But I don’t. Why? Because I’m a fan. A supporter of Milan. Not an abuser or attacker or abandoner, I’m a supporter. Do you remember what that means? “In good times and in bad.” Anything less than that, and I’m pulling your fan card.

It’s a shame, because this team needs us now more than ever. I would tell you about this match, but seriously, you people have already formed your opinions on the opinions of fools, I’m not wasting my time on you ungrateful “fans.”

Unfortunately, the one piece that is most needed at a time like this is the fans. That  is where Milan are lacking most. I’ve followed this team for longer than some of you have been alive, I absolutely know the pain. But I also know that I did not sign up to be a fan only to turn on them when they needed my support the most. The fact that you think this is okay is indescribable.
